Hi all

Im wanting to use some of the SEO tools at GoRank.com but it keeps asking for a Google API.
There is a link to the API page at Google, but there are lots of APIs and Im not sure what one I really need.
Does anyone know what one I should use and what steps are involved in obtaining one?
thanking in advance

I've never had much luck with Google API. What tool are you looking for? There's a nice key phrase ranking tool at shoemoney.com that shows you where you rank on Google and the other majors for your selected keyword phrase. It's pretty fast too. Here is a typical results page.

Squadron

The tool that im looking to use is their tool that analyses the top 10 google results for a keyword
http://www.gorank.com/seotools/

After loging-in, it is then when it asks for a Google API

I understand that Google doesn't like information being scrapped without an API, It would just be nice if it was clear which API was needed - or am I being thick!

I think what you want is SOAP search API which is no longer available. But wait, there's more. Here's a tool that may give you what you want. No API required.Interestingly, one of my articles ranks 2nd and 3rd for my keyword phrase. The power of article marketing !
